The Various Forms Of Reiki
Reiki comes in several forms, commonly known as streams. The most common forms include the Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki, the Karuna Reiki, Natural Reiki, Osho Keo Reiki, and the Seichim or Sekhem Reiki which came from ancient Egypt. Other Reiki forms include Raku-Kei, a Tibetan form of Reiki; the Radiance Technique, the American version of Usui Shiki Ryoho; Tera Mai Reiki; the Buddhists' Reiki forms called Jin Kei Do, Men Chos, and Seichem (not the Egyptian Seichim); and the latest form called the Quantum touch.
Karuna is a Sunskrit term used by Hindus and Buddhists. It means "any action taken to diminish the suffering of others." In short, Karuna refers to a "compassionate action."
When a person is enlightened, he will view all beings as one. It would then be natural for him to share Karuna which is considered as an act that shows empathy to everyone without giving any different treatment, as all of us are seen as one.
As help and support are extended to one another in this harmonious process, everybody is benefited by the advantages available. It's not only out of affection that Karuna is shared, but mostly because it's completely the most natural thing to do. As you would naturally want to heal your own wounds, so you would also have the desire to heal others' wounds. There's simply no other working principle in the art of Reiki.
As you develop Karuna Reiki in yourself, you won't only be able to help others, but you will also become more sociable and open-minded as you get more aware of the Karuna being extended by other people who've been enlightened as well. Therefore, your health is enhanced faster, and with better and more satisfying results.
To make sure that you get a clear picture of what you're doing and why you're doing it, Natural Reiki teaches a simple technique given in a simple approach. Natural Reiki believes that a process with less ritual is better, as enlightenment doesn't come from a certain ritual, but from awareness.
Like many other forms of Reiki that recognize the idea that the attunement process is an act of 'affirmation' of one's goal rather than a need to perform healing, the ritual factor has been completely removed. Instead, focus is being given on the how's and why's of Reiki as well as the nature of energy. Natural Reiki therefore brings back the capacity to heal and explore your spiritual nature to where it should be - within you.
Developed in 1988 by Osho Rajneesh, the Osho Neo Reiki involves more powerful medications as well as attunement. This form of Reiki offers a faster healing opportunity, as it's about 150 times stronger and more powerful than the Traditional and the Karuna forms of Reiki.
Quantum Touch is a form of a Reiki enhancement, as it serves to boost a therapist's Reiki skills by providing an effective way to control breathing. This seems to be extremely potent as it draws on the 'Chi' energy in an apparently more intense form.
